The one bedroom apartments that offer semi-independent living situated at Pilgrim Place are available at a cost in the region of $130,000 plus Site Payment of $13,000, while the two bedroom apartments are in the region of $150,000 plus Site Payment of $15,000. Each apartment has a separate lounge/dining area with kitchenette, and the bathroom is an ensuite to each bedroom. There is access from the lounge to an outside terrace area. Entry can be gained either via the entrance of the Residential Care Unit or via the apartment's lounge door. Purchase of the apartment is subject to an Occupation License with the Te Kauwhata Retirement Trust Board.

 

The village outgoings (weekly fee including contribution to water charges, street lighting, grounds and exterior maintenance, heating, lighting, power, use of the care unit facilities, limited staff supervision and administration, including GST, are payable four-weekly in advance  Internal maintenance is the resident's responsibility and insurance cover is on charged from the Trust Board's cover. Residents can enjoy the activities povided in the Residential Care Unit by the Diversional Therapist as well as morning and afternoon tea as part of the inclusive price.

 

This fee would increase dependant on the additional services that may be required as follows and is based on a per person charge:

  • Meals (either delivered to the apartment or taken in the dining room)

  • Showering (per session)

  • Medical dressings (per session)

  • Assistance with clothes dressing (per 10 minute session)

  • Laundry personal clothing and manchester (per week)

  • Cleaning (per session)

  • Linen supply and launder if required - at cost
